Not that it'll happen but I'd do something that would make the news if JBOTs trades that pick....

Uhhmmmm. How bout saluting a NK general at your big shindig?

That Lindros trade resulted in multiple Cups for Colorado (Quebec).   He was a can't miss prospect, and he had a decent career that was short circuited by injury.    Colorado on the other hand... Forsberg, Ricci, Duchesne were key contributors in their Cup runs.

I'd do a deal for Martin Jones, Brenden Dillon, and Tomas Hertl.... plus they would need to take Bogosian's contract off our hands.

Or a deal with TBL who have some cap issues...

BUF 1st overall, Ryan O'Reilly, and Zach Bogosian for Kucherov, Point, Sergachev, and JT Miller.

Id need more

More from Jeremy White Secret Source, there is only one name that hasn’t been mentioned as a return for Dahlin is Connor McDavid.

When teams are calling to ask about first overall and are suggesting the return for the pick, McDavid is one of the few holy crap names not mentioned. I get the impression that Auston Matthews was floated by the Leafs as a trial balloon per White this AM

Ah gotcha. So the entire league agrees with us about what we would take for 1st overall, and that's only McDavid

I'd love to see pi's reaction to an overrated Dahlin for bad person Matthews trade.

I stopped taking the author seriously after the “bottom...for a plethora of seasons” and the “city of losing” comments.

For me it was trades 13 and 12. I stopped reading after that.

Hey, let's piss away the future of the franchise in a trade that brings back Zack Kassian.

Kane, Toews, Crawford (with Chicago retaining salary on each), and Chicago's pick.

In other words, NO.

That seems like unnecessary paperwork and phone calls.

I wouldn't even trade him for McDavid NO ONE, he will be viewed as the Connor of Dmen,  d-men are on the ice longer, a position of need, he will be the best D man on day 1. No way I'm trading him even if they throw in Drai. Keeping it no matter what. Dahlin is the real deal. Save my post and look back 10 years and you'll see that I'm not being ridiculous.

Well jack Hughes is really great but good luck finding a Dahlin.
