I'm huge into the holidays; I celebrate Christmas. So that means all of the lights, the tree is up the day after Thanksgiving, all of the corny old Christmas songs and watching 'Christmas Vacation' at least 5 times. So I was wondering what everyone's favorite Christmas songs are

Mine are pretty much anything by Dean Martin and Bing Crosby, but I love "Baby it's Cold Outside" by Martin

Also like a ton of new Christmas songs, like "Santa Stole My Girlfriend" by The Maine and "30 Days" by Never Shout Never. Brendon Urie does an incredible version of 'White Christmas', though it's really short. That guy's voice is just insane

So, what's your favorite Holiday Song/Movie?

Songs: anything that I haven't heard the same version of the song for 35 years. I don't dislike Christmas, but having to listen to those same songs every year drives me nuts. I don't mind different versions, or even lesser known old-timey songs, I just don't want to hear Bing Crosby's White Christmas daily for the next month.

This song is on a Punk Xmas compilation CD I have, which is pretty awesome. I hadn't seen a video for it until today though. Wow.

I'm with Matt on songs: I want to incinerate all record of every Christmas song ever produced. As for movies, there can be only one: Die Hard.

This CD: http://www.amazon.co...words=punk xmas

Most of the songs are pretty good. I love the Ravers, Dickies, Ramones, and El Vez tracks. Sloppy Seconds is pretty good too, but I associate that with MST3K's "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" so I migh be biased. Oh, and Mojo Nixon's song is pretty awesome too. If your Punk Rock Xmas Cd ain't got no Mojo Nixon, your CD could use some fixin.

This is one of my favorites (don't like little drummer boy unless it's specifically this version):

Silent Night

Santa Baby

Then just Vince Guaraldi in general.

When I used to work at Best Buy, we had a 10 song Christmas album on repeat from Black Friday to Christmas.  I wanted to set fire to the building every single shift.

We call my youngest, Dino, after Mr. Martin, because he came home from the hospital on Christmas eve. His full name is Donovan, but that only gets used when he's in trouble with Mrs. Whiskey.

My favorite song is Tom Petty's "Christmas All Over Again".  Like many, I prefer the songs and versions of songs that aren't often played.

Favorite family movie is "Home Alone" because my kids love it so much so I end up watching it every year and because John Candy.

Favorite adult movie is "Bad Santa" which my wife and I watch every year.  Makes me miss Bernie Mac and John Ritter though.  Both are awesome in it.

This song scratches a certain itch, and scratches it so good.

It's from my favorite Christmas album.

And I just now decided to look up who Johnny Ace was.  Tragic.

Cool thread.

Alright, I do not like country music. But there is one exception. Fav Christmas song is Santa Claus (I Still Believe in You). Alabama came up w/ it. Enjoyed their Christmas Albums. Only country music I'll listen to. Here's the song.

https://m.youtube.co...h?v=BkZ5bczKQog

And my can't miss Christmas movies are Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Scrooge and The Grinch. There are a few others I really like, but these 4 are on the must watch list for me.

Don't forget the second Die Hard. It also takes place at Christmas.

And how old are you? Hope it's your age that can be used as an excuse. Ha ha J/k w/ all of that.
