Our lineup looks bad, real bad..... But then I look at the flames, and it doesn't look so great either... Plus idk who their goalies even are, this game has the potential to be quite craptastic.

Let's go new goalie guy!

Is that Corey Tropp I see behind Myers in that GDT pic? I wonder how many other players of sabres past are in those pics? I'm betting lots!

PS: this roster is horrible looking.

This roster is beyond horrible. 6 maybe 7 are NHL players. It is what it is and at least we don't have to worry about a late season run. All things considered i am just fine with this roster until the end of the season.

McDavid or no McDavid i pray they put some resemblance of an NHL team on the ice next October. I can't take another year of "tank". I am tanked out.

Caution: You might want to check out for the 14-15 season. It's full speed ahead from FNC with the "Tank" strategy until after the '15 draft.

I don't expect to be much better next year. I just hope we get to see more of our future playing here.  Watching a team of waiver wire claims is not something this fanbase should have to endure for another full year.

As for the tank. We can't tank anymore. The tank is complete. We cannot possibly do anything more to make this team worse. I am tired of pictures of tanks, tank tops, etc. We are a professional sports organization for crying out loud. Where is the pride? No way can i spend another year joking about "tanking".

Plus i can't see checking out next year anymore than i have this year. That is the part that pisses me off. I can't watch this crap. And i miss it.

I do feel your pain 'cause Tankin' Ain't Easy.  Gotta believe that the Organ-EYE-zation is in prime position with a great prospect pool, a plethora of draft picks, and the right hockey guys to make the strategy pay off in the long run.  Personally, I'm willing to endure another painful season with the ultimate goal in mind.  So for me, it's Tank On Baby!

We're eleven points down with fourteen games to go.  The tide of battle has shifted in our favor as we've been regaining ground in recent battles.  We are within sight of claiming victory in the long, horrendous Battle of 1314.  The Sabres war machine has stepped up production to provide the latest technology at the fastest pace.  We are now operating in total war and we will BURN EVERYTHING IN OUR WAY.

ONWARD!  ENGAGE FLAME!

That's a tough stat, since the next two are critical games but you don't really want to set the most consecutive losses record either.

I'm okay with this arrangement.  I think Deslauriers is better on a line with Ellis and Scott than with Lame-o.  On the other line, I think Mitchell and D'Ags can cover for Lame-o adequately.

I like the earlier prediction that Deslauriers scores a goal tonight; Ellis will create the opportunity out of the corner with his hustle while Scott plugs the crease and screens the goalie, leaving Nic as the trigger man.  You never know; it could work.

If the salary cap goes up and the Sabres have to hit the cap floor, no ceiling, that means they will have to spend about $15 million beyond what they have on the roster.  take away any dead contracts, I can see Murray signing several mid level free agents that fill particular rolls on the team. I don't see any snipers in this group but they need a veteran presence in the locker room and we know several Vets will be released in the off season.  I am taking a wait and see approach.  I can not go through another dead season.  I am not a Cubs fan. I don't want to be eliminated from the playoffs before the season begins.

Can you envision TM being able to do anything close to enough between now and the start of next season that would give this team even a 1 in 4 shot at making the playoffs next year, let alone compete for a Stanley Cup?  I can't.  As far as I'm concerned the Sabres are already eliminated from the playoffs next year as we speak.

We've traveled far down the tank road.  Could TM reverse course now, blow up our tank arsenal and try another approach?  Absolutely, but it would take well beyond a single offseason of moves to implement a new way forward.

What, you don't think all the prime UFAs (of which there are few) aren't going to be clamoring to come here? Have they seen the new green-space under the Skyway?

You know you need to draft centers when your team consists of Ennis, Flynn, Leino and Ellis as your 4 centers.  CoHo on the wing hopefully gets his lazy ass going.
