It's so awesome

Phil Kessel looks like such a douche with his little hood on.

A team so focused on puck possession such as Detroit is, iit'll be very hard for them to win this thing, unless they can get a PP or some lucky bounce, score early and really bunker down with Howard in goal.

The hockey itself is awful, as always expected for the Winter Classic but i always love watching this event.

Action is picking up.  They are getting used to the speed, or lack of it.

I was thinking just the opposite: it'll be hard for a fast break team like the Leafs to win this, since that style might actually be impossible in the snow

Getting wacky in the second. Goalies having a hard time controlling rebounds. Maybe cold pads?

Another one of those delay of game moves with 2:00 left that never got called, like was mentioned in yesterday's GDT.

how come?
As far as the west goes, I've liked the Hawks since I saw Wayne's World and Christmas Vacation when I was a kid. Then they added Kane, and he's become my favorite in the NHL

I really hate the half way switch rule in overtime. They should just have to play the five minutes without switching ends and not be wimps.

They should consider a double header in the future.  4 teams, two games.  Why waste the ice and the effort.

I take it you mean in the same venue om the same day. I wouldn't want to a put team on that ice in game two, it seemed to hold up well today, I would hate to see the condition half way through a second game.

I have the feeling that 99% of this board, including myself, if we were dating a woman who looked like her, we'd be boasting about our beautiful girlfriend.

I met her when I lived in Madison.  She used to get her skates sharpened in our shop all the time. Very sweet girl.  Understandably, she was really, really excited when she was named to the USNTDP.

Nobody likes her brother, except her and her parents.

Even if your dating the ugly Kardashian, you best be bragging about your hot girl if you ever want to get your wee wee touched.
