Is it wrong to be psyched to watch a preseason game of a team that missed the playoffs 2 years in a row?

I don't wanna be right!

Not enough time, you need 10-12 hours to cook one of those, plus I did one last weekend.  I'll probably do some wings.

Ennis as a center again?  Sounds like RR still doesn't like his #2 center options.

I think it's more he hasn't liked Ennis' game. I think he is going to have to really bring it to maintain a roster spot

Rolston on why 63 is at center tonight, "The thing with Enner is he’s got to have the puck.

Paul Hamilton@pham17174h

If he’s going to be the player that we want him to be, he’s got to have the puck on his tape

So I just found out that DTV doesn't give us the NHL channel out of season.  I have to wait for hockey season to start.  So no game for me tonight.  Just another arrow in my quiver of hate for DTV.

IIRC, Lindy had them together last pre-season and they had good chemistry early on.

GO SABRES!!!

Really?  That's odd, I have NHL Network year round.  I didn't think DTV had regional differences.

Grigs looking abysmal behind the net on the PP.

I hate to say it but Kaleta's act is wearing thin on me.  He should be looking to Ott to see how you can agitate without being a punk.  Patty's bobble head routine and board crashing habit are tired.  I like him but his antics are embarrassing.

I heart number 8

Is it just me, or does it seem like the Sabres a little more structured than last year?

Last year the Sabres play looked like mass confusion half the time, e.g running into each other etc; I wonder if that was a reflection of Lindy's coaching style and system.

Pretty good 1st period for a preseason game.

Grigorenko looks disinterested.  Not sure if the mind is willing but the body isn't able or if he is just lost.

Ennis with the hair cut.

Risto is so smooth out there.  I've really liked the play of 8 and 36 as well.  They've done a nice job on the PK. It's a shame Grigs can't go to Rochester. He could use a season in the AHL.

Risto is looking better than Weber at times.

Yes, I hope 8 gets a job; 36 & 8 on the PK, great job.

DTV changed their lineup 3-4 months ago and you have to get the next level package to have it on Directv.   I don't know if NHL channel is included in center ice.  I just decided to pay the extra couple $$ a month.

I'd like to see them with someone other than Ellis.  He might be a great team guy, and Andrew Peters might want to have his baby, but he's the captain of the Amerks and nothing more.  Put someone with grit and speed on that other wing, like Flynn or Tropp.
