I was there for that game -- Foligno's best of the year. Not sure that filthy business around the net will beat Boyle's Perreault-esque rush.

Forget about it.

And if the Sabres only have one highlight in this contest, why is it anything other than Hodgson skating around five Senators and scoring?

Carollina Senators? Or was there another one on your mind?

What's funny here -- to me anyway, and maybe what was intended -- is how Foligno arguably slotted into the role that the Concept of Kassian vacated, so when I read Chz's snark, I thought Chz was talking about how Kassian could've done what Foligno did.

IMO the best Sabre highlight as the Vanek pick pocket, rush up the wing and stop in front of Rask taking time to deke Tuka out out of his Toga...for a hat trick!

At least an equally worthy candidate. I don't get why TSN had the Foligno one as part of its contest.

That was great but Vanek never scored a goal like that again after Rolston started stifling him.

Easy timing play beating a lazy defender. Bonus for a nice finish. It's a good play, not a great play.

Hodgson beat five players using two toe drags after stealing the puck in the neutral zone and finished nicely while shorthanded.

If we want to mention lazy defenders we have more than our fair share of them in the Hodgson goal as well. The little detail I enjoy about the Sedin goal is that it really doesn't matter how much they practiced that pass. It happened on the road, so they're nowhere near as aware of the specifics of those boards as they are in Vancouver.

After dismissing the Sedin twins ESP goal, Hodgson goes up against another soft Euro. I voted Hodgson without even bothering to watch the videos this time.

Wow, didn't even realize that. And it looks like he will be going up against himself for the semi-final.

Nevermind. Read the bracket wrong but either way he is likely to be in the final since he has two plays in the semis.

Well I actually did watch the Lehtonen play and I think CoHo beating all of Carolina was the better play but you are correct. Vote for which you would like better.

Also clearly the Sabres need a social media coordinator. This is the type of stuff you tweet out to people. "Cody Hodgson is taking on Kari Lehtonen in the TSN play of the year semifinals" http://poy.tsn.ca
