Too comfy. I really gotta flip the cushions so they can even out, lol.

Not looking great for FLA and CAR right now... both are down 3-0.

Islanders beat the Lightning in regulation.

Rangers currently up 3-1 on Carolina with a few minutes left in the 3rd.

So the Sabres' teeny tiny chances of making the playoffs get worse and their chances of getting a top five draft pick also get worse.  Awesome.  So much to be excited about as a fan.  [insert suicidal emoticon that we should have by now.]

You literally can't rely on the south east for anything. I think Florida, Tampa Bay and Carolina could finish below us now (throw in Calgary and Colorado from the West and we go 6th :/)

Throw in Philly and Dallas and we're drafting 8th.  Then Winnipeg, Edmonton, New Jersey, Columbus, Washington, Phoenix, and Nashville are all within 4 points of us right now.

One late meaningless win streak and we're out of the top ten.

Imagine that.  After enduring this long, boring, and completely hopeless season, we may not even get a top ten draft pick.

You know it's coming.  Just embrace the nightmare.

Tonight (4/7) we're looking for:

TBL over WSH (7:00PM)
BUF over NJD (7:30PM)

(reverse our game and FLA over OTT for the Draft watchers)

Also of note: MIN @ CBJ A loss for the wild would put them within striking distance of missing the Playoffs.

May the Hockey Gods have mercy on the Buffalo Sabres and allow the Wild to miss the playoffs and have their #1 pick win the Draft Lottery. The Sabres are due for that type of positive divine intervention.

No reason other than I think it'd be sad for Pominville to leave here for a "contender" only to miss the playoffs anyway.

I'd rather have them miss the playoffs and get a better 2nd round pick.   Going from the 5th round to 4th round is not as valuable as moving up 5-10 slots in the 2nd round. ;)

Big game tonight, and we get to ask the Leafs for some help

TOR over NYR (7:00PM)

(for the soulless, you'll be looking for CAR over BOS)

4 pts out, even games with NYI, who we play last game of the season. How great would it be if that game meant something.
