OK, I'll take one for the team. I'm probably as reluctant to start a GDT as Miller or Enroth are to start this game. Pens going for 16 consecutive victories without CIndy, BFLO has lost four straight. Of course BFLO is going to be without two of their top six defensemen. Who knows who else might be gone by the time the game starts.

If the Sabres lose this game, lets hope the Pens are gentle. A win would be a major upset, but this game has blowout written all over it. A feel sorry for whoever is in goal. Sorry, not trying to sound pessimistic, just being realistic.

Sabres win 2-1 in the most boring game in the history of hockey. Kaleta scores off a scrum in front late in the second. Pens tie it on something equally unspectacular then Foligno wins it mid way through the third on a pass that deflects off a penguin skate.

Best guess...

Sabres will be more like a Best Guest as in 8-1 Pens.

For those that will be scoreboard watching tonight.

Florida at Tampa: I say hope for a Florida win in OT.

Washington at Carolina: Both are a head of the Sabres. Best case scenario is a 3 point game.

Winnipeg at Islanders: A Islanders win and they take over 8th spot and can put the Sabres 7 pts behind.

Absolutely, me too.

Actually, he may hit the ground running, I'm just not convinced he'll ever get over his mental blocks. He has all the talent in the world, that's never been the problem.

Couldn't have picked a better time to draw the Pens.  This has Sabres victory written all over it.

It'll be interesting to watch a team thats firing on all cylinders play a team whose cylinders are seized. This one could get f-ugly but in the race for the bottom you don't get points for style.

As always, GO SABRES !

At a time like this I think its warranted for fans to vent. The NBC guys seem to find a certain joy in it. Regardless. The Sabres certainly brought it on themselves.

I hope they lose this game and every game after it this season.  When they go on their dramatic run for 9th place, Regier stays on, and minimal changes will be made in the offseason.

Just for the fun of it, when watching the game tonight, notice the little things that they do in their building to make the pre-game more exciting....spotlights scanning the crowd, rowdy music, stuff flashing up on the scoreboard...  There hasn't been much of that at the FNC lately (not that there's a lot to "celebrate").  They know how to get the crowd pumped for a game.  Us, not so much lately.

I don't think it has anything to do with in-game presentation in Buffalo, which actually seems to have improved in the past couple years by quite a bit.  I noticed on Saturday that they no longer blast music as loud as they can instantly after the whistle at every opportunity.  You can actually talk to the person next to you.

The problem at the FNA is that the team sucks and that the fans themselves kinda suck too.  We boo the team when it's winning now.  The standing ovation on Saturday was when Gerbe decided to just start punching a guy -- taking a penalty and basically embarrassing himself decided to just hold him at bay by pushing his arms out.

What are the odds in Vegas for a Sabres win tonight?  I might bet on it.
