I'm being selfish here.... So far I've started two GDTs this year (Philly on 1/20 and Jersey on 3/2) and the Sabres won both.  With the level they've been playing at, though, I expect a let-down against a team they should beat.  So hopefully my undefeated mojo will get them over the top.

With the mojo, I'm expecting them to pour it on tonight- 7-4 Sabres, in a game that will never be in doubt.  But only because I started the GDT. :flirt:

Who's coaching Tampa ? With the new guy if he's there they'll have the usual big boost for the new coach. Everyone starting with a clean slate, yada yada yada. That being said though the Sabres are starting to play with cohesion and as a team. Cutting back on the brainfarts and staying within their roles. Tampa's a mess. So...its a toss-up. I'm done with predictions.

As always, GO SABRES !

Do we have odds on the first poster hoping for a loss?

No let down in Florida.  The great Sabres playoff tease is on.

With the win tonight, Sabres enter double digit chances to be in the playoffs..  ~10%..

No let down. Hammer time. Time to get a few players off the snide, Pominville, Stafford and Myers.

The last two goals against will be meaningless trash goals in the late minutes.

They will reinforce the perception of Miller's mediocrity.

Miller's mediocrity or the regular defensive lapses*  ... I'm hoping those are starting to be minimized.

Win or lose lets see some good hardnosed entertaining hockey. A big improvement I have liked is their ability to push back after a goal or some poor defensive zone play.

Please continue to keep Stafford off the ice, haven't missed him one bit.

Let's go Buff-a-lo !

Dang it, guys, you're making me hate my Sabres jersey.  I wanted to get a Vanek when I was up in Buffalo a few years ago, but the only player they had in stock in my size at Laux was Stafford.

EDIT:  Then again, its a slug logo, so there's that to hate, too.  I *do* have a Perreault, so that works.

I don't think Myers has been playing that bad, at least not nearly as bad as he did in the first 15 games, in the 15 games under Rolston, Myers has only been a minus player 3 times, each time a -1, he's also been on the plus side 5 times in the last 15, compared to once in the first 15 games. Of course that doesn't tell all, but he's not coming off the ice with a -2 or -3's. Also I think getting him away from Leopold could only help his game more.

I agree, he is playing a lot better. But it would be nice to see some points coming in from him

Sabres twitter confirms Stafford, Scott and Sekera likely scratched tonight.

@TSNBobMcKenzie dead Tbay bench Thursday in Toronto , no fight noticeable except for St Louis - and he wore frustrations pretty clearly

That was a 4-2 loss against the leafs.  Saturday was a 5-3 loss against the Senators.  Sunday was a 3-2 loss against WInnipeg.

Catch 'em with their pants down.  A solid three-period effort and containment of their top guys should be able to down this team.

Alternately, maybe he *is* nursing an injury and they're trying to keep it mum, especially if they think a couple games off will give it a chance to heal.

Yeah, there's that.  But wouldn't it be better to just say, D2D nurising a nit?  That's what they did with Vanek.

Perhaps but if they are trying to shop Staff around maybe they feel they can get more for him if he is well at the time of trade.

I don't hope we lose but I don't care that much if we win.

Of course that is all dependent on what we do at the deadline, the right moves or lack there of will sway me.

I hope they win.....raise the value of their assets somewhat....and move them.
Losing is just not good. Better to trade when you have salable assets, than try to trade up from abject poverty.

How funny, I hope for the exact opposite. That they win this game and every game after it this season.

Once we've gone undefeated through the playoffs and won that cup I don't care, then we can lose all next year and blow anything up and fire everyone as much as anyone would like. Just win out first.
