Good topic. For clarification, what do you mean by rebuild? Are we looking at a 3ish year timeline to being really competitive, or are we aiming next year? Or, is that direction up to each of us to lay out?

That's about right.  Ott's freely interchangelable with Pominville in this game for me right now.  I'm not surprised that no else said Ennis, but I believe in him.

I believe in Ennis as a winger. In fact I nearly went Ennis over Vanek because of age and contract. If I were aiming for a longer term rebuild I probably would have gone through with it.

Troof.  It's still a little early yet (maybe before we see what shakes out at the deadline, draft, and July 1) to judge Ennis long term at C.  Myers is a good pick; he's almost right there for me with Pominville, Ott.

Alternates, because I think there are a few more they should keep on D: Sekera, Weber and Sulzer.  Hodgson and Pysyk along with Foligno are still developing along with McNabb, but I think the rest could go.  Could keep Kaleta because of Salary cap and but all this leave the Sabres a glaring hole up the middle with no 1st line Center, which was supposed to be addressed last year...

First two priorities get rid of Darcy and Stafford and anyone that can be added to help this along.
