I'll be there tonight with some of my leaf supporting friends.  A Thursday night with March Madness starting and the Sabres playing poorly the atmosphere may not be quite up to it's usual level.  These games are always fun though.

Shouldn't it be Leaves?

It's usually an exciting game when these two meet.  Sort of a home away from home game for the Leafs (Leaves?).  The house should be rockin' with many Toronto fans, which, hopefully, will inspire the Sabres faithful to be more vocal.

I really believe that the Sabres will give us fans something to cheer about tonight.  And I hate OT, so a big 3 - 0 win.  Miller gets the first SO, I think, this season.

What I'd like to see tonight....

1) Enroth

2)  More than 3 goals for the good guys, which hasn't yet happened under Rolston (there was a 4-3 shootout win, but I don't count that).

so, instead of just being able to hear a mouse squeak, we should be able to hear a mouse peeing on a cotton ball?

Likely no Vanek or Sekera will make this difficult.  Let's see some guys step up!  I'm actually really excited to see Pysyk play.  I think he's been one of, if not our best defensman over the past couple of games.

Hahahhaha, I meant Sabre/Leaf games not FNC in general.  But nicely played good sir.

oh i meant the sabres game as well. :)

though to be fair, i didn't take into consideration all the leafs fans that will invade. that should make the place a little more loud, though it's not going to help our guys any.

Yeah, this inconsistency got me in trouble in grade school.  When the teacher asked what the plural of "leaf" was, I said "leafs". She corrected me and I said,"Then why is the hockey team in Toronto called the Maple Leafs?"  She was not happy....

Ron Rolston speaking about this team showing signs of improvement.  Really seems to highlight where his mind is at.  Sounds like he is less concerned with is job and more concerned with getting this team to a better place hockey wise.  Interesting quote.  I figured game day thread for this because well, if our Head Coach thinks we are improving maybe there is light at the end of this long dark tunnel.

Rolston explained. ''What I do like is that we're much more resilient as a team. I mean, early, when I first got here, that would've crushed us at that point in terms of team psyche.''

No but you did get it in alphabetical order ;).  Googles good for that.

As for the G.D.T. I'm not going to make any predictions. I didn't do very well last game. Loving Otts game. Becoming the captain before our eyes. Even if he's not wearing the letter.

As always. GO SABRES !

Miller starting. Everybody earns their playing time, right Ron? You idiot.... Sabres are 0-3-3 in Miller's last 6 starts and 2-0-1 in Enroth's last 3. I'd go with Miller.

I haven't posted in a few weeks as I am disgusted with this mess of a team. I can only hope they continue to lose and end up with a top 3 pick in the draft, and Regier is sent packing.

That being said, I will be at the game tonight, and my hatred for all the drunk Canadiens who will be out in force tonight, will leave me with no choice for at least one game but to cheer for the Sabres and hope for a 10-0 victory.

...then they can go back to losing for the rest of the season.

There is no foundation for the prohibition of using prepositions to end sentences with.  It's just something teachers started teaching a few generations ago cuz someone put it in a textbook.

Sounds like we are getting a bit thin skinned with the Leaf fans!  The next thing you know, Pegs will be handing out fan behavior cards at the gate and the scoreboard will be taking cheap shots at the city of Toronto.

I'd get mad at the Leafs fans.. but really they are just market opportunists.  I'd get mad at the Sabres fans for selling the tickets to the Leafs fans but really they are just market opportunists.  So.. I'm just going to get mad.  I despise the fact that a home game has so many opposing fans in the rink.  Of course that's how they feel about us in Carolina right?

Aren't Sabres fans supposed to be fans, i.e. people who buy these tickets because they love the team?  Guess that only goes so far in Buffalo.
