I hate these guys. And the Flyers are awful lately. So awful we could beat them and look good doing it.

We haven't played them since the first game of the season, a 5-2 win in favor of the good guys.

Just win. :pirate:

If the Sabes could actually pull off a lopsided win, don't be surprised if it is Buffalo that gets the coach fired AGAIN. Welcome to Philly Lindy :) (although I think he ends up in NY or Edmonton)

The Filthydelphia Flyers....oh yay. Can't stand this team, especially Hartnell and Giroux, and Simmonds and anyone else in orange and black for that matter. Only thing that worries me is how struggling teams tend to get well against the Sabres. Not sure what to think about this game. Just win baby.

The only way good teams beat the sabres is with their backup Goalies.

As much as I hate Philly, really?!, the way the Sabres are playing... my only hope is that John Scott puts a few of them on the IR... I have not illusions about the Sabres getting a V.  Lotto odds are probably better this year.

The Sabres are playing again?

Yet another *must win* game.

And yet another game that I have a bad feeling about.

We are almost in last place in the entire league.  It's just about over.

I can see why many people here hate Philly.  I mean this team win lose or draw is interesting.  Us Buffalo fans don't know what a fun hockey game looks like.  Go Sabres, but thank you Flyers for putting something entertaining to watch on the ice today.

"Hate" seems to be another word for "jealous." Up or down, the Flyers are perennially relevant in the NHL.

Giroux, Simmonds, The Schenns, Read and Couturier are all players I would love to have on the Sabres roster.

I was thinking the same thing, although it's more of a hope than an expectation.  (If the Sabres win, Philly will have lost 4 out of 5 and 10 out of 17 -- which is below expectations for them, but not disastrous.)  That would be a bright spot in a dismal season for the Sabres.

Separately:  Philly is 13th in scoring, 6th on the PP and 11th on the PK -- and 25th in goals against.  That looks like a goaltending issue.

Also, I was surprised to see that Voracek is leading the Flyers in scoring -- pretty good return for the Flyers from the Jeff Carter trade.

It must be nice to have a bevy of young, talented forwards who can score.

Speaking of Lindy... and hyperbole... here's one for your search button, Eleven. Why didn't Lindy get hired "five minutes" after Buffalo tossed him to the curb? Some speculated that teams would actually fire their coaches to get to Lindy first.

I'm pretty sure he's been booed since he pushed Danny into the bench boards.

I take it you'd boo Crosby as a Sabre?

Sure Philly is struggling but how did that work out for the Sabres against Jersey ? I don't have much faith in a victory but one can always hope. I'm more interested in how many scouts are at the game and what teams are represented.

As always GO SABRES !

Team is fundamentally flawed in many respects.  Doesn't look anything like a playoff team. Sigh.

And to think after Pegula bought the Sabres and Ehrhoff, Regehr and Leino were added, some NHL analysts thought Buffalo would win the Easterrn Conference that season.

Hope the Sabres win tonight.

Philly's season is looking shot if they don't turn it around soon. Their fore-check ain't what it used to be.
I do enjoy that they dumped Richards and Carter who went on to win a cup in LA. I'll admit it, I want to see Philly fail.

It is not their relevancy....it is their unique brand of hubris that is wonderfully loathsome.

Worry not Flyers fans, here are some of the struggling teams Buffalo has handed games to this season alone: Panthers, Capitals, Jets, Devils...

What's that?
Oh, your third string goalie is called up? We'll make him look like a Vezina contender.
Your $tar player is in an embarrassing slump?  We'll leave 'em open on the power-play and make sure to pass him the puck as much as possible.
You question whether your designated goon is of enough value to even get you a 4th round draft pick? Tell him to shoot glove-side from the point, he's pretty much guaranteed one or two points for the night.
Your vets are injured and have been replaced by nervous rookies with questionable talent? Go on, grab that trophy puck out of the back of the net for him, he'll want to show that to his grand-kids some day.

I love the Buffalo Sabres and I hate feeling that what I've described above is more the norm, than the exception.  Grrrrrrrr.

Leopold?  Why?  I was hoping they were done with this guy.  Maybe they'll throw him on the ice with Myers and the first line to bring back some of that early season defensive majic.  You all can pick on Hecht all you want, but Leo is a proven train wreck.

Love this video. It's new to me. Who's the narrator? So familiar. Is that the voice of the Flyers, Gene Hart? I had never heard the very end of Rick's call.
