Is the dream alive?

Have the Sabres turned a corner after sweeping their two-game road trip through the state of Florida? They're now 2-2 under new coach Ron Rolston, who will take a second shot at his first home win at First Niagara Center, where Buffalo is a woeful 3-6-1 this season.

Paul Hamilton has tweeted that Brian Flynn has been recalled. Will he be in the lineup tonight?

The Sabres have to find a way to take advantage of Johan Hedberg being in net. He has dropped four in a row. If the Sabres need to come out flying and put some early pressure on Hedberg, he will crack. His save percentage is about .849 (it is early so if my math is off a little I apologize) over his last four appearances.

The Devils PK is not strong. They are running at a 77.4% clip. The Devils take as many penalties as the Sabres do. If the Sabres are going to extend the streak to 3 games, they will need to take full advantage.

I want to see old Marcus back and being a bull on the puck..i get that and i will be happy...well a win and i will be happy.

Flynn, 24, is a 6-foot-1, 180-pounder who has 16 goals and 16 assists this year for the Amerks, ranking 10th among AHL rookies in goals and points. He’s tied with Mark Mancari for the Rochester lead in goals. He signed with the Sabres last March and played five games at the end of the 2011-12 season in Rochester on a pro tryout from the University of Maine.

Ah.... No. But at least they are trying some of the young kids to see what they got.  Maybe it will be a good set up for next year because that is what they are playing for.  Sorry for the "Negative Waves."

The Devils' offense has been rather impotent, scoring just 1 goal in 4 out of their last 6 games.  That, in combination with the greatest netminder of all time injured, renders them pretty toothless.

I imagine the Sabres will still find a way to give up 40 shots and score just once though.

So isn't that a two game suspension for Clarkson? He came on to the ice and immediately went after Ott. This is the exact thing Ryan Clowe did and got two games for.
