I'll take 30-40 minutes like that, if they can play that type a game for 30-40 minutes, the wins would be more frequent.
Have fun at the game with your son (I'm assuming son), not a bad 1st game to see with Crosby and Malkin.

sekera and pick or prospect for O'Reilly? thats plausible.  I think he is injured though

Pittsburgh is one of those teams that I actually dread playing, for whatever reason I always envision a 5-1 beat down. But today, I feel good today. No reason, no rational explanation, but I like our chances.

o yea before I forget... Went out to the Bar after the bruins win wearing my Myers jersey and feeling pretty good... Got kicked out for wearing a jersey after 9pm . No joke was asked to leave and the door guy got in trouble for letting me in... Never felt more like a sabres fan in exile.

I expect Stafford to continue scoring this afternoon and Myers better play like he did Friday.

I want him to continue to improve into the player we've seen him be? The guy that scored 15 goals in half a season.  He didn't play well in the beginning of this season and recently he's been getting better, which is expected as he came back from injury.  Just 'cause he's little don't mean he can't play.

  There's usually 1 or 2 threads that don't go to the last read post for me but I thought everyone had that luxury ? Today the only 1 not doing it is the G.D.T. so I'll have to note the post # everytime I read to the end. Life could be worse but this suckz

I still see him get neutralized way to easily.  No player in modern history has been an effective player at that size.  The closest thing was Theo Fluery but he was taller and worlds more talented.

Yup. Long term Gerbe's not a difference maker and I was referring to his improvement in the context of this season.

I, on the other hand, am very excited. It's a great day for hockey and the Sabres. The fact that Buffalo not only got the NBC opener, but the Hockey Day in America game as well, tells me that the Sabres get numbers. As long as the day doesn't end with Sidney violating Ryan's five hole, it will be a good day.

If getting scratched for a game ruins him there wasn't much hope for him to begin with.

Especially since it appears its not being done as a punishment, but instead a lineup decision.

Exactly, he's not ready to be an everyday player right now anyway. He needs the extra work, the team wants him to focus on improving his skating too

I'd be fine with it if it weren't for comments like this:

I agree, I just threw my jersey on for the first time since the opener, completely on a whim. Exciting day.

I like the optimism; Sabres are going to win today.

This team is starting to come together, and I don't believe we have seen their best yet.

We have witnessed them beat the best team in the east; I believe it when the players say they are mad about how they have been playing, and I would expect them to go on a streak here soon.

I wish Weber could be in the line-up more; however, not at the expense of Sekera.
