Sabres Myers will return http://bit.ly/Xyq2ph
Ruff said Enroth's recent play has changed his goaltending plans. Said he needs to be better
Grigorenko will play tonight
Myers will play tonight

Let's hope we can start to right the ship tonight. Even with as bad as we have played we are 2 points out of 7th and 3 points out of 6th. (I am not accounting for tie breakers or extra games this early, just the simple math) There's still a little hope in me so I'm pulling for another good performance by Vanek and Miller and maybe a few other players will show up for a change as well.

Coming off a tough loss against boston and still not playing great hockey..however trying to keep positive energy going and hoping we will break out of this slumber and spank the sens!

Myers and Grigs back in the lineup tonight as well, maybe some fresh starts for those two.

Go Sabres!

i want to see some 2nd/3rd liners score their first goal and i want the D to D passes to be ON THE TAPE and moving out of our zone fast. That's all. I can't believe this is what I'm asking for a quarter of the way into the season.

it is sad

maybe i'm making excuses but, are we underestimating the effects of the lockout? with no training camp basically and no preseason and some players playing while others are not?

Sens have really been struggling to score goals since Spezza has been injured.  Hope they don't get well against our leaky D.

Go Sabres!!!

In addition Lindy mentioned Ville Leino is finally responding to treatment and skated for about 20mins yesterday which is positive. I was excited before Game 1 for the idea of a 9-25-23 line

Lindy likes calling his players out in the press..Not a admirable trait for a coach imo. One day he will take on a player who will respond in kind and then a ton of s--- hits the fan.

A better defensive effort against Boston with a helter skelter defensive crew. Now lets see progress defensively in this one. Let see if  the opposition uses Bostons shut down the one line and win philosophy .

Are not the Sabres playing at Otterloo (hi PA) tonight?

Probably the same results at either location though.

I always have a bad feeling when we play the Senators.

Hoping for a solid 60 minute effort.  And hope that Myers and Grigorenko respond to their sit downs in a very positive way.

I dont think weber sits i think he's been a steady guy for our D, IMO its got to be Leo

and When is Scott going to come out of the lineup??? i like him being there to thrown down with a heavyweight but not every team has one and our 4th line could easily be mccormick centering gerbe and kaleta

I couldn't agree more with this. There is nothing more frustrating that seeing him on the 4th line at times. The kid has made mistakes but he has also shows some flashes of what we hope he will become. Some of the passes he has made so far this year have been outstanding.

Leo has been better the last several games.  A lot better.  I want Weber in there, too.

One of McScottmick comes out, if not both.  I'd like Gerbe out, too.  I recognize the inefficiency of dressing 7 D, but there isn't one that I want to take out right now.

(Time to make a trade!)

I've been a huge critic for years, but I've got to say that he's brought effort this season for the first time in his career.  Except against Boston; he seemed to disappear on Sunday.

Of course it is, the amazing Enroth doesn't need to play better, the team around him needs to be better. Only Miller lets in soft goals, goals scored on Enroth are ones that no one could save............

Baby steps, that's all i am looking for.

Can they / will they play a better defensive game?
Can they generate more from 2-4th lines?
Will Miller conitnue to round into olympic form for that expected push for 8th place?
Will Lindy say more than two words and look engaged on the bench?

Yes these and many more questions will be answered tonight on "As your Sabre Turn's"

Let's Go Buff-a-lo !

Enroth's job is to give the team a chance to win...he hasn't done that recently.  Ruff simply answered a question saying that the goaltending needed to be better..and he was right.  Don't feel bad for Enroth, he's a pro, he can handle that..he's got the wrong job if he can't.  Even if the comment stung a bit, I'm sure it went away as soon as he cashed his paycheck.

We lost two days earlier by the same score. I don't remember Lindy saying the reason we lost that game was goaltending.

I'm pretty sure he was referring to the 2nd and 4th goals he gave up vs the Sens...if I remember, they were kinda soft.  Miller does let in soft goals at times, but you have to admit we wouldn't have as many wins without him this year.  He has already stolen a couple.

You really need to do a better job here young lady...

(now...did i call you out) i like coaches who resist making negative public comments about players. If they want to have a fist fight in the office i am fine with that. If one of my coaches did that to me publically there would be a very public response on my end..Thank god it was many years ago, when most coaches were men, and it never happened outside of the locker room..

I was just thinking about this. I was never a Stafford fan even when he was scoring goals but this year, when he has no goals and barely any points, I think he's been better.

Still wish we'd have moved him when he was at his peak value. Too bad Darcy was hibernating that summer.

Those lines seem reasonable, although I'd rather see McCormick-Hecht-Kaleta as the 4th line (no Scott and his 4 minutes of ice time).

#Sabres will scratch a fourth-liner (assume 8 or 32) for Grigorenko. Awaiting drills to see defense pairs.

Mike Harrington@BNHarrington
I would be scratching Leopold for a turn. But Sulzer was with Brennan. Hmmm. #Sabres
