The Bruins come in to the game with a 7-1-1 record and well rested after their Saturday game against the Lightning was postponed due to Nemo the Nor'Easter.

The Sabres at 5-6-1 are on a two game win streak by an Act of God with a little help from Thomas Vanek and Ryan Miller.

Time to own the Bruins for a second game...  Beat them tonight and they'll be watching over their shoulder the remainder of the season.  Tonight should be Foligno vs Marchand...

If there was ever a time to sit Stafford, It's tonight. His replacement will be fresh, Myers will be fresh and hopefully the D is one game closer to figuring out the lockout is over.

I wish this game was earlier, I really like the Sunday afternoon start times.

Will the events of the weekend have any residual effect on the Bruins? We should hope so.

The Sabres ended up with two points last night, they will need a better effort o beat the Bruins.

How can a player considered to be a "goal scorer" be goaless almost 25% into the season?  This guy needs to sit up in the press box and watch Thomas Vanek for a game.  Game after game, he refuses to go to the dirty areas and do his job of scoring for this team. So much for wearing an A as a reflection of leadership.  Other than standing up for Ennis in the opener against the Flyers, he's been pretty darn quiet.

Afternoon games are nice, but for the Sabres to have to face the Bruins after playing less than 24 hours ago, would be tough. Hopefully they weren't up till the wee hours of the night celebrating their win. It would be great to hand the Bruins their 2nd loss of the season, but they're going to need a better effort offensively (15 shots for) and defensively (43 shots against), than they had last night.

Only after Crosby's bad streak he turns it up and makes up for his down time. Stafford never turns it up. We'll be lucky to see 10 goals out of Stafford this year.

Stafford is a 20 goal scorer in a full season. When a guy averages 1 goal every 4 games, there's going to be stretches he gets nothing. If 20 goal scorers weren't streaky or hot and cold, they wouldn't be 20 goal scorers, they'd be 40 goal scorers. We know what Stafford is, I don't get why we complain when he continues to be what we should expect.

Putting all of Stafford's issues aside for a minute, it's nice to see the Foligno-Ennis-Stafford line back together and putting in some quality shifts the last few games. Looks like they're starting to regain some of the chemistry they had last season.

Well, the last Boston game was the season's high point.  I'm not expecting a win, especially due to the back to back, but I think 2 points in this situation would mean a lot.

I'd be content with the sabres picking up at least 1 point tonight. They were running around all night last night and the fact Boston was off is only gonna help their cause. I think Boston wants a lil retribution from the last meeting as well.

Our D cannot play as poorly again and expect anything less than a 3 goal loss.

Yeah, that one.

21 needs to get better. But he's a streaky scorer. Pointing to his 12 games without a goal is not the problem. The lack of production from his entire line is the problem.

I'm more concerned with the -7 than the 0g

I'll be holding my breath the entire game waiting to see if the Bruins try to take out Vanek with a cheap shot.  I give it at least a 50-50 chance and I figure more teams will be tempted seeing as how he's our only threat.  Plus, the Bruins have incentive and it's not like they've even needed incentive in the past.

I get the feeling the Bs have a little special attention in store for Vanek tonight. They'll crash the crease and get Miller off his game and we're done. We've been a two player team all year and its hard to see that changing today against the bruins on the second of back to backs. But as always

That was the Islanders last night no less. It's one thing when it's a Chicago, but the FN Isles?  Has to change for any sustained success this season.

Meh. I'm as downcast and pessimistic as anyone, but even I can't get to this place. I don't think I've ever felt this way about a Sabres game. I think they'll probably lose the game, but I've seen too many bleak situations turn out OK. And to me anyway, Boston is meh.
