Pardy, Pardy.  So, didn't we learn from practice today that there are some possible scratches from the forward ranks?  Is he sitting Myers?

Ehrhoff may not be 100%.  Ott may also not be 100%.  Pominville, Hodgson & Hecht were the other ones who didn't skate.

Reading that out loud, I'm mildly disgusted with myself...however this team puts me in that kind of mood these days.

It's no wonder Hecht is sitting, he played over 21 minutes Sunday, that's 3 games for a 4th line (should be) center.

Speaking of the 4th line, in the 2nd game in 24 hours, the 4th line gets 4 minutes TOI, it should be no surprise that the team looked gassed in the 3rd period. In the first game the 4th line got double that.

Well we've looked terrbile but are still only one win out of a playoff spot (ya I know we've played an extra game). I don't care how it looks, just get me the two points and some confidence in this team.

As for losing for the draft pick, my uncle brought this up at our superbowl party and I just think it's way too early for that. Also, despite the fact we're not that good of a team, I still don't think we're bad enough to really be within the bottom two or three teams in the league. We would need a Vanek and possibly Miller season ending injury to even have a slim chance at that.

To Admins: I'd say 20% of the time when I want to post a comment my screen will look like it's thinking and it says saving post but never actually posts.  I have to copy what I wrote, refresh the page, paste it and hit post again and it usually works.  It's happening on my work and two home computers.  What's up with that?  Is anyone else experiencing this?  It's been happening over the previous six months I'd say.

I'm leaning more towards Lindy being safe no matter what happens the rest of this season.  The lockout excuse is a nice and convenient one to explain  falling short of expectations.  I suppose that if they completely fall apart and finish last in the league that he might go after the season, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well they want to pair PArdy with Myers because he plays like REgehr... Wonder who they think MIke Weber plays like.  Currently I can't see how pairing myers with a AHL defenseman will help his game.  I hear he will get reduced ice time as well.  All i can say going forward is that if our Defense doesn't settle in we will have a good shot of getting McKinnon.  On a side note what is the deal with Leino?  I thought he was just midly injured but he still has not returned...

The only line capable of prolonged puck posession is the V-H-P line and if the Sabres score 4 goals 3 will be from that line with 1 fluke won coming from somewhere else.  WIth Spezza down I see no reason this team can't beat an Ottawa team that I think lacks depth, but the Sabres will be tires or unfocused, or some other bs excuse as to why they cant pull it off.  This team has 0 accountability.

I don't think Pardy is any worse than Sulzer or Brennan.  I have a hunch he may play himself into the lineup.

What the hell is "the lockout excuse?" I've seen this said several times (not by just you) and I'm baffled by it.  Every team was affected (while fans were afflicted) by the lockout, so it's not an excuse.

Sabres will win in glorious fashion.  9-1. Vanek with the ovechtrick.

If theres one thing working in the Sabres favour right now its that Ottawas scoring is down right now, hopefully the Sabres won't try to be the nice guys and help them out with that like they always do.
As for the Pardy/Myers combo, It may not help Myers game, but can it hurt it anymore? Maybe they are being paired together because they are both going to have their ice times limited?

We really need some secondary scoring.  The top line is carrying the team again like last year's start, but how long until they slump?

I'm not saying that it's a legitimate one, but it's going to be at least hinted at when the Sabres end up falling short of the playoffs.  You can take it to the bank.

I do not like this matchup.  I have been watching my Center ice and scouting Ott. They play a real high tempo fast break game same as Montreal and we all saw how well that went in Montreal Sat. Anderson has been one of the best goalies SV% and GA and in making the key saves at critical game times.  

If the team defense does not improve in this game I'm afraid of another Montreal like meltdown. Best case Miller has an olympic performance and we win a 2-1 SO.

What I really want to see win or lose is an inspired team performance(ala Boston) and for John Scott to pummel Chris Neal because I still loathe that piece of shaught.

I'm hanging out with a friend tonight to watch sports.  There are 3 games on at the same time that we're interested in and my DVR can only handle 2 at a time.  I'm seriously considering having the Sabres game be the one that doesn't make the cut.  I probably won't, but if I keep the Sabres game and they look terrible again and if the game I miss turns out to be a great one, I will hate myself, the Sabres and pretty much everyone else for a certain period of time.
