Back for one post. Time to settle the score maybe.

You were right, it's going to take more than a few player changed for this team to change identity. I still believe Ruff is a good coach and will find success with some team, I just don't think it's us. We need a new approach, fresh ideas from young new coaches. Time for a radical coaching change after this season.

I agree with this, except, why wait to make a coaching change?

Now, everybody wants to fire Ruff and there are no good guys left.
Are there any more real cowboys, in this land?

Raziel,
If you are reading this ... come back. It's all water under the bridge. Posters have differing views, but we all want the Sabres to do well and win that cup.

That was about it, a number of very heated debates with a few posters in particular.

The best part of the season to me was the lockout. Everyone here was talking about important things like life...and kids...and drinking...and boobies! Speaking of which, I like the avatar addition.
I'm glad you are back. I'm sorry for going over the top and being overbearing at times. There is a fine line between truthful entertainment, and being a jerk. Sometimes I cross the line a tad....but there is nothing I would like more than for all of us to celebrate together one day.
Glad you are back!

fanny?
i still regret mis-using that word while staying at a hostel in western ireland.
i came into the lounge area of the hostel where a group was gathered before heading out to the pubs. a certain lovely english girl named evelyn had just taken leave of the group to change, but a mutual acquaintance of ours (female) told me that she (evelyn) was worried about what pants to wear because she thought that she had an unattractive caboose. as evelyn sauntered back into our midst in a pair of sung pants, i remarked in a faux serious tone, as a i gestured toward evelyn's mid-section, "well. i just want to assure everyone here that evelyn has a LOVELY fanny."
she didn't hit me, although i thought she was going to. it wasn't until we found a group of fellow americans who could vouch for my usage that i was forgiven.

*I'm goin out for a ###* (what? The three letter word for smoke is no good?)
and
*bloody hell*
*Oh, I'm going to have to chat up that bird over there*
I know the English invented the language, but it seems like they have a different word for just about everything. Just like the French.

That's another one my buddy, or should I say mate, from Oz uses a lot. One of my favorite aussie phrases is "chuck a sickie". As in "Why don't you just chuck a sickie on Monday so that we can brew, mate?"

What does "Big Time Charlie?," mean, anglophones? I guess Paul Ince was one.
