This debate in back to backs has raged forever, and coming into this particular game, IMO there are pros and cons both ways.

To me, start Miller on Thursday away, the tougher game.

He is hot, and will be coming off one day rest. He will have two days to prepare for the Sunday game against Washington.

Lindy has already flat out stated that Enroth will get one of the starts, so he is probably not going to go to his "can't mess with the line-up or hot goalie" nonsense.

Enroth gets the home game.

Since it is a home-and-home, even though both teams are playing on successive nights, it should be easier for the Sabres coming to Buffalo than the Canes.

Enroth has to get one of them.  I vote for the game down here as his last two Carolina starts are a 1-0 shutout and a 2-1 OT win.

Enroth needs to/should start one, or the other.

I'm with Claude on this one.  Start Enroth on Thusday, for the reasons Claude pointed out.

I agree, but if the Sabres come in here with Miller and win Thursday, you just know that Lindy won't be able to resist starting him again on Friday.

I normally agree with that, but he was asked flat out this morning if Enroth plays one of the two games and he didn't give an evasive answer. He said yes, Enroth will get one of the two, I'm just not going to tell you which of the two. Granted, he could still change his mind, or he could just be placating the radio guys, but he seemed pretty clear about it.

On WGR this morning, Lindy confirmed they will split the two games, but didn't say who will start which game.

Enroth Friday, there's an early game Sunday, and the Friday game will be slower with both teams having played and traveled the night before.

If you want this season to mean something....you can't start miller on back to baks period...end of story.

I would play miller on Thursday, enroth on Friday, and then miller on Sunday against Washington.  The game on Sunday is an afternoon game.

Enroth on friday seems like the best option. let him play in front of the home crowd, miller can ride his mini hot streak and then get the day off regardless of how he plays thursday

Lindy Ruff gave strong hint Jhonas Enroth will start for Sabres on Thursday in Carolina, which would leave Ryan Miller for Day Two vs Canes

I would have thought the reverse. But okay with either scenario this early in the season.

Apparently, didn't make much difference. I would say Miller kept last night closer than it could have been.
