Are modern day hockey players concerned about their legacy? Have mega-contracts replaced the Hall of Fame as the ultimate status symbol in the eyes of players? Players certainly get paid enough as is, why would they continue to sacrifice games off of their careers just to get a few dollars more? Many players are burning a year of their prime. When they look back at their careers and they fall just short of milestones are players going to be filled with regret?
