Eat lots of turkey and dream of days when the NHL plays once again.

Hope you and yours are all safe and enjoying your Holiday.
The longer the lockout the less I am missing hockey and enjoying all the extra time I have for family and life, however I do miss the comadarie of this board.

Very luckily, that's in two weeks, when the niece turns 4, and the sister turns 40. Their birthdays are a day apart. The sister doesn't know that I'm flying out for the party; she thinks it's just our folks and not me. That's going to be fun!
I hope everyone had a Thanksgiving that was as great as mine was. Well, except for the part where my aunt gave my niece a recorder for birthday/Christmas. Have you ever dealt with an almost-four-year-old on a wind instrument? Brutal. I mean it.

What's not to be grateful for on this, and every, day? I am blessed to have an incredible family, wonderful friends, a job I love, a roof over my head, a country that affords me freedoms and liberties thanks to the hard work of servicemen and servicewomen, and pure happiness in my life. Thank you all for
being a special part of my awesome journey.
Take the time to remember what you have and what you may have lost out on that has helped you be a better person. Remember those who may be without a loved one or a place to go to enjoy the holidays because of deployment, natural disaster, homelessness, or illness - they need love and prayer, too; may their situation humble you.
♥ Happy Thanksgiving ♥

I had a great day, ant it was topped off by the Cowboys losing and Jets embarrassing themselves on national TV (not that I wanted the Pats to win or anything, but it's fun watching a rival totally implode).

Agreed. No possible way the Pats were losing that game anyways...so I was routing for a full-on embarassing Jets prime-time implosion all the way.
