For the last time, it's Lindy's team

Anywho...
On the subject of the Sabres' "makeover," Lindy told Paul Hamilton (or the media in general; not sure if there was a presser or something):
"It’s something that you talk about during the year when you’re going through tough times, what you think is missing."
"In our case we wanted to be a harder team to play against, we wanted to be more physical, we wanted to and we’re still going to need our better offensive players have to have a little physical edge and I think if they’re backed by Scott and Ott and now we’ve got McCormick and Kaleta, the strength of all 12 guys is raised."
"I pushed hard to have us play with a little bit more of an edge."
Lindy has consistently said things like this his entire tenure. He gets the team he wants. He and Darcy are joined the hip. You could even call Lindy the assistant GM.
Will some of you please stop giving Lindy an out because Darcy gives him "garbage." We do have a garbage roster now, but it's as much Lindy's fault as Darcy's. Hi, Eleven.

You could do your part by not re-hashing all the old hashed over and over again stuff concerning LR and DR, at least until there is NHL hockey being played and we see how the new look Sabres do.

Lindy started it. It's new information.

You can go back through countless threads over the past two years to review my position. I'm not getting into it again. You're just still wrong.

... carry on ...
my first exposure to grace slick was on MTV in the early 80s.

it was years later where i realized what a hippy dish she had been.

she was needlessly unattractive in the early 80s. in fact, i can't think of a bigger indictment on that era's style and fashion than the fact that it made a still relatively young grace slick look like garbage.

Kinda like Clapton's "cocaine".
Except Lewis Carroll's book was written 100 years earlier and has literally nothing to do with drugs.

I thought your current position was, basically, that this roster is garbage, there's not enough scoring, too many chumps. If I'm right about that, given Lindy's exact words, I don't see how you can't connect the dots. But, as the kids say... whatev. OK, they don't say that. But whatev.

maybe the remarks just needed more context, or more ownership. like, "around the time of the 2004-2005 lockout, we had built a roster that was headed in a certain direction, and over the last couple of years came to realize we needed to change course."

It's a tradition. At 2 am you'd be surprised how many girls are willing to show their boobies to the groom in order to autograph the love ewe.

Speaking of which, if we get you a custom Lindy fleshlight, are you ok with the walrus bristle on top?

Cause up until this last offseason I wouldn't think anyone would say that Lindy got a physical roster
Just because he asked for it or wants it, doesn't mean Darcy gives it to him

Wasn't it just last season that Lindy blurted out his philosophy on hitting -- that it doesn't mean anything unless you end up with possession of the puck? And what year was it that Lindy said the power play was more important than retaliating for Gomez' hit on Miller?
