From the write-up on the front page, his first game back in the middle went very well.
It never really registered that his poor play with the Amerks has coincided with his stint on the wing.
Anyone watch the game?
I was at the game. Luke looked as good as I've
seen him play last night. I don't know how anyone can conclude that his poor play had anything to do with where he played. His giant slump over the last 2 years has been pretty
evenly split between center and wing.
That being said, he looked as confident as I've seen him since he was centering 29 & 26. Hopefully, he is moving past his slump.
Other notes from the game:
Foligno is a man out there. Crushing guys, fighting guys, very dangerous with the puck.
Tarnasky is a dick...and I mean that in the nicest way. He sucks to play against.
Girgensons hits a lot, sometime putting himself in harms way much like Kaleta. I wonder if that will shorten his career. Offensively, he's improving but he still is at least a season away from contributing.
McNabb has really been MIA. Brennan and Biega much more noticeable.
Suhnder is JAG at this point.
Leggio may be playing himself into a back up goalie prospect. He has been a wall every game.
