I've been a little scarce lately; I lost my aunt on Friday and we buried her this morning.  More on that in the appropriate thread tomorrow.

But for this thread:  I never knew this until this morning, when one of her friends eulogized her, but she was at the freaking Bills-Jets game, at Shea, where OJ broke the 2000-yard barrier.  She never told anyone about this!  And yes, I confirmed it with an eyewitness.  That clever aunt!

I'm sorry for your loss, 11.  Great story about being at the criminal's game though.

So Jim Kelly is buying the Bills?  Huh.
I really thought this nonsense would be left over on TBD.  If and that's one huge if, Jim somehow duped an investment group into using him as a figurehead for their group, he would be only that.

Pretty much. If all the guys in the ring of fame or whatever pooled their money, they *might* have enough to get into the room.

The money is already there. As a matter of fact, there are people getting turned down.......And you are right, it is not Kelly's

Did you see the pic?  It was pretty difficult to see the sideboob, and it certainly was not sideboob identifiable to a person (no face shown).  Although, maybe there's a girlfriend or wife who was not pictured and is pissed about it!

Who also deleted her account.....and who may want to be a bit more careful covering the sidelines for high school football games next year.....

I predict a dummy check-out audible call of "Side-Boob" during a certain school's game.

Not only that, but does anyone else think it was a set up.  Who wouldn't check that photo before sending it out on the twittersphere, except for someone who wanted it out there for all to see.  And you can't really see anything.

Never heard of this guy before, but now he has had his 15 minutes of fame.

It happens when you take photos. I have a friend who's a semi-pro, and when he's taking landscapes (not his pro gig) he'll take a picture, look at it on his camera, and when he gets back find there's power lines or some other unattractive thing in the shot. The human brain is very good at filtering out stuff that's 'not important' to the task at hand, like listening to one person in a crowded room. I watched a couple shows over the holidays on cable about it, crazy stuff.

Doug Marrone? A coach of a bad team in a bad football conference? This is very disappointing.

I didn't want a college coach, but I confess to not knowing a ton about him. I will say turning Syracuse around couldn't have been easy.

He was 25-25 in a bad football conference.

The Bills dont have the talent, at least offensively to have a college coach come in and make things better; I was really hoping for Lovie, at least then our D may have gotten back on track. Not sure if im too excited about this move; sure Syracuse had a "better" season than theyre used to but still, its freakin Syracuse.  Without another good receiver and a Legit QB, it doesnt matter who is coaching this team; maybe this move will stir up that pot and we'll end up with the QB from Syracuse to go with his head coach

Which is a marked improvement over their 10-37 record the three seasons prior to his arrival. He was also OC under Sean Payton for three seasons, which helps alleviate my "never dealt with professional athletes" concern. I'm not going to champion the pick, but I won't pan it either. Big plus for me is they went young and new as opposed to a retread. Maybe it fails spectacularly, but at least it's different.

Thursday, the 15th, let the Bills once again play second fiddle. Doug Marrone, what a joke.

Disagree on Marrone, He was pursued by Browns, Eagles, Chargers and possibly Bears too.  Very well regarded around the NFL.

It seems like two things for me: a cheap hire and marketing ploy to get people from Syracuse to the games. The only way the Bills can make up for it is if Lovie Smith somehow agrees to be the DC.

Admittedly i know bupkus about this guy.  Maybe he's the next Harbaugh...  Was really hoping they would make a strong play for the Ducks coach..  I'll hold back any further snap judgments until his on field product can be evaluated.

completely agree with 26CB. the bills need someone with a completely fresh set of eyes. he's an experienced coach, and he has some (though brief) NFL playing time. he has a championship under his belt with syracuse. not a BIG bowl game, but whatever. he's been the OC for the saints. the man isn't a rookie in the NFL. and with what the bills have on the roster, he could do some great things. before we crucify him for being the bills' coach, let's give the man a chance, eh?

Chip Kelly was towards the bottom of my list. Didn't want him. Overrated IMO, particularly as a pro prospect. Mike McCoy was my first choice.

He is a 'fresh set of eyes' and I will give him a chance like I have for every coach; however I'm 18 and all I've seen is this cycle of suckish football, with a no name coaching replacement every 3 seasons. I thought maybe for once we'd hire a guy like Lovie who not only left Chicago on a (relative) high note and has taken a team to a Superbowl. I guess the same could be said about Wisenhunt, minus the who 'leaving on a high note' thing.

BTW sorry for not posting this in the Bills topic in the first place.

Lovie's Bears have missed the playoffs 5 of the last 6 years, I don't consider that a high note.
