I rarely post here... let alone post new topics. I just got XM radio in my car for my long commute into work (I live in DC and the commute is a living hell and the radio stations/reception on traditional radio suck). I've seen posts here and on TBD sometimes referencing topics heard on sat radio.
So that got me to thinking... rather than spend a ton of time researching the myriad of satellite radio stations, does anyone have any recommendations for the really good ones that you enjoy?
Thanks!

NHL CenterIce radio is really good. I listen to the War Room and other shows and generally get a lot of hockey information from it that you can't necessarily find through an online news source. Plus you can get radio feeds of all (most?) of the NHL games each night, which is great.
For the DC commute (I lived there for 8 years), I recommend the spa station - nice, relaxing music!

In Canada the most popular is Sirius Satellite Radio ... it has it all, apparently ... since I'm old I really know nothing about it.
Not sure if you could subscribe in the US, but you may want to look into it.

If I'm not mistaken, Sirius purchased XM?
I had sirius, and it wasn't too shabby. I got rid of it though, because I can't not listen to music when I drive, and the stations got boring, whereas the 2,000 songs on the iPod are always different, and exactly what i want.

xL Faction from 3-7pm is the Jason Ellis show. It's hysterical if you're not an uptight hipster or a hater.

Funny guy, and batschit crazy. Howard has interviewed him a few times.
Yes and yes! His appearances on Howard are what launched his radio career after he was done skating. I only get to listen to satellite radio when I rent a car but I always look forward to listening to that show.
