It must be tough for a guy to throw up the career white flag like that though.  If he signs that deal, he's essentially acknowledging the fact that he's a career AHL player since he knows he's not exactly in Buffalo's future plans.

Yup. He played pretty well this year. Enough to make MacIntyre angry.

He's not lights out, but he's serviceable for an AHLer.

After Enroth it's Leggio and Knapp.  Although Lieuwen might beat out Knapp.

Amerks signings can go in this thread because I want to be proven wrong. IMO Amerks were being neglected by the sabres but with this signing I have hope.

Mark Mancari will be a good addition to the amerks and he is now on the top line with Porter.

I think 18th is pretty good considering our past seasons and draft picks. Fla,NYI, Min and so on are going to be higher on the list natural because of higher draft picks. Fla has been stock pilling young d-men for the last 3 yrs.

Sounds right to me.  The high-end talent in the system stacks up with just about any team outside of the perennial bottom-feeders, but after that top-end talent there's definitely a significant drop-off in the system.

Leggio should NOT fire his agent. This was a perfect move for him in all aspects.

1. He played really well for the amerks and Roloson.

2. He has a chance to be a call up if either miller goes down or Enroth gets traded.

3. If he has the kind of season he did last year...alot of teams will want him next year.

The only reason why no other teams picked him up this off season IMO is because he was a no-name player last year.
