Okay, I'd give coal this year only to Fehr and Bettman, but they'd just use it to stoke the fires of the feud, anyway.  So they get nothing.  Not even coal.  Everyone else gets presents.  Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone! My sister made a three dimensional star of david hung from a crescent as an Islamic-Hebrew tree topper.  My step mom made latkas for my jewish father's sake and did a very nice job.  Now I get to play drop in with my brother for the next 5 days in a row.

I hope you're all having a relaxing holiday.

Wow, what a day.  I was tired from delivering presents, but I still stopped by my parents' house for some of my mother's awesome sauce over ravioli, some presents:  a sweater, new shoes, and books (look for the "What Are You Reading" thread to be visited often, because my "unread" stack just doubled--I don't just read naughty/nice lists, you know!), and some good Christmas conversation.

And I loved watching the loved ones unwrap even more.

How'd you all do?

My unread stack just exploded too. What a Christmas. Spent the day reading and eating Christmas cookies at the parents house. Winding down at home for work tomorrow. It was a short but good holiday

Also sorry to hear about work.  I have the next ten months off.

As always, I received far more presents than anyone really needs from people who care about me.  (I'm especially looking forward to testing my Nespresso and reading up on cooking sous vide.)  It was also great to spend time with loved ones and at least get to talk with those who live too far for an in person visit.  But gifts aside, the best part of today was hearing that my Grandfather was released from the hospital after having to spend the last 3 nights there.  While his underlying health problems are not over, the immediate concern has been addressed and he'll be much happier at home.

Hope all you SabreSpacers had a good one, and condolences to those who knew folks affected by the events in Rochester.

New saddlebags for the bike new drill and other tools, gift cards to NFL shop. Com.... Don't know what to get with that yet. Some nice new surgical books, and a giant flour war while making cookies with the family. Also had to stitch up my nieces knee she tripped over our St Bernard and cut herself. An eventful holiday!

The Pixie with Aeroccino (and holy smokes, after looking that up I sure hope my mom didn't pay full price).

And yeah, what's up with the long hiatus, Eleven? I didn't think lawyers went on sabbatical.

My company sells those. They're pretty popular. Holiday sales were good this year but I bet she paid pretty close to list for it unless it was a refurb. Merry Christmas from your mom :P

Nice.  A great Christmas was had by all inklings.  My wife got me a Jaw Saw.  I'm pretty pumped to try it out once it warms up.   These trees are going to rue the day I received this limb trimming device.  Also got some clothes, DVD's, hickory farms gift boxes, beer, and Halo 4.

My gf got me Ballad of The Whiskey Robber which is "A true story of bank heists, ice hockey, transylvanian pelt smuggling, moonlighting detectives, and broken hearts."  This book seems a little too up my alley :P

I also got Bose Companion 3 speakers :w00t:

Watching loved ones unwrap presents you got for them is my favorite Christmas gift. Especially when I watch my kids, have a  5 year old and a 3 year old, open theirs. I got a little teary eyed watching the two of them open presents. And please show some Christmas spirit and not laugh at that! ha

Acoustic bass > electric bass.

Of course, upright bass > any bass guitar, but we'll leave that alone for now.  The mellow sound out of an acoustic bass guitar is kickass.

In other news ...

Today is the 12th day of Christmas on most Christian calendars.  Also, the Fiest of the Epiphany ...

http://en.wikipedia....ys_of_Christmas

So, hopefully Chz will be spending some time playing with her 12 drummers drumming and the rest of her toys.

Also, today is Christmas Eve and tomorrow Christmas Day as observed by many Eastern Orthodox Christians.  So, Merry Christmas to any Russian, Greek, Serb and anyone else celebrating Christmas now.
