I would say its politically correct to wish people who celebrate Christmas a "Merry Christmas"

and of course, for my first Christmas in Buffalo in 5 years, there is no snow.

I was walking out of the mall earlier in the week and held the door for a middle-aged lady who stopped halfway through, turned around and actually said "thank you" and then followed up with a sincere "Merry Christmas".  I was stunned - the only people I hear it from are family/friends/coworkers.  (I've also heard it from select retailers/salespeople, but not as much as I would like.)

Yes a very Merry Christmas to all.

Please excuse my lame attempt at song writing below but in the spirit of Christmas past and the current board tenor I feel compelled to share a little Christmas parody song.

Oh the hockey inside is frightful,
But the rioting fans fire delightful,
The Sabres no place to go,
Let heads roll! Let’m roll! Let’m roll!

When we finally hit last place,
How I’ll hate going here to this storm!
But if Lindy will hold us tight,
On the way to playoffs I’ll be warm.

Now the fans fire is slowly dying,
But my dear Sabres will still be trying,
So as long as I love them so,
I can say, let’m roll! Let’m roll! Let’m roll!

Real nice ... and festive. Let's hope the Sabres can get a roll going starting Monday.
Merry Christmas to all ... and I'm hoping that Lord Stanley is in Buffalo in that 2-3 year time frame we were told about back in the spring.

Merry Christmas everyone. And Happy Hanukkah to those of you who own club seats to the Sabres. :D  And I guess happy Eid as well, although that is usually a month after July 1st....so it's sort of fitting for Sabre fans to sacrifice around then. :D  What the heck...Happy Kwanzaa to Thurman and the 3 of you other hockey fans who lurk. :D

May everyone forget their stresses and focus on the common good and hope we all share. Yes....somewhere deep down I posses hope as well. You may need a hydrofracker and a miner's helmet to find it at times :D ....but it's there, wrapped in a swaddling ball of glory.

Have a cup of cheer and fire up the yule log.

Seems like as good a place as any to put this.  I'm not all that religious, but I am relatively spiritual and like music.  My brother found a way to combine both of these things.  He is very religious and we played a church service on Wednesday that was really more of a concert of his music.  We basically got to play some freejazz in a slammin' sanctuary.  I just fast forward the chanting parts.  Hope you like it and Merry Christmas.

Bass.  Brother's on Piano, niece is singing, nephew is on violin and keys.  We're the regular ol' Von Trapps.

LOL, I was looking for family resemblances to see if I could pick you out.  I was guessing that violin and bass were you and bro.  I was kinda close I guess.

Nice, looks like fun!  My brother and I both play trombone, so I got a book of Christmas duets for trombone this year.  I arrived home in Rochester tonight in time for a brief rehearsal before serenading our relatives on Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas everyone!  Be sure to take the time to reflect on what is truly important to you this holiday season. :)

That organ could easily drown out the entire group.  It's a pretty wealthy church and I think just the organ cost around 2 million.  Don't be fooled, though.  Since I didn't have any weddings or funerals to go to this year, that's the first time I've worn a tie this year.  I was just glad that I didn't burst into flames when I walked through the front door.

Merry Christmas! Hope Santa is good to everyone here, I know my kids and wife are being spoiled. Looks like we have very nice travel weather here in WNY, although I do prefer snow by now; it's more difficult to "get in the spirit" without.

Let's hope each Sabre finds some extra testicular fortitude in their stockings, and Darcy has visions of brilliant trades dancing in his head.

Cool. The only church organ I played on cost 2 thousand! I don't think you have to worry about bursting into flames. It's what's in your heart, not what anyone else thinks.
