Since we have a hit thread about complaints, I thought maybe we could have a thread for Fridays where we reflect on good things, positive moments, rave about a restaurant, new additions to your family, etc.

I guess my initial rave would be:

Fridays, for many of us, are the end of the work week - which is great! For others, Friday is also payday!

My boss is in England until Christmas.  It's not quite as awesome as it sounds because there is still plenty of work to be done (and fortunately for her, I don't really require supervision), but it is very nice not having to worry about her stopping by for an impromptu meeting in the middle of my day.

finally getting a vacation this summer. Going up to Alexandria bay for fishing, jets skiing and TUBING!!!!!


I'd also like to compliment Tim Connolly for going to toronto, now we can beat up on you 6 games a year (Weber V. TC)

I'm planning on taking mine out today to get a few emergency supplies. I'm just happy my house is only barely in the tropical storm zone.

I should also mention that I forgot I don't have health insurance, so I'd like to compliment my luck for me not piling it up today.

I think the problem with S'alright Saturday is that it was on a Saturday. It's easier to post in these threads when we're all at work.

Very true.  I try to avoid my computer on the weekends, especially since I'm in front of one 85% of the day at work.

boo, i have to stay an hour later than normal, because of our annual summer company dinner at my boss's house. no point in driving 30 minutes home to turn around and drive back.

I'm going up to Cornell tomorrow to visit friends of mine.  They've all promised they'll try their best to get me Cornell hockey tickets.

2 and 3 are in fact amazing...I'm personally not in a flooded area, but some friends and their families are.

on another note, it's F'N Fantastic that I am leaving work in an hour!

It may be a mess down here, but thankfully my house is nowhere near the water and the creek did not come up high enough to flood my boyfriend's house (although it was a lot closer than anyone expected).  And it's nice to finally see the sun again after a weeklong hiatus!
