I understand that you, and folks like DeLuca and PA have alot of anger about the team. It's your right to be angry. It's just that all your whining gets old after a while, and you act as if the whining is going to change things, similar to yelling at your TV. This team pi#$es me off mightily at times, but you have to have some perpective. I want to see them win a Cup as much as anyone, but I know 29 teams will not this year, and just because I don't get into a snit or pout or demand trades does not make me less of a fan, just a realist. Buy a team of your own if you want to have real input.

Do you even see the irony in you whining about us whining in a site designed for whining?

Probably not.

Good point. I'll let you resume your pity party w/o interuption--given the poor game again tonight, we'll need a suicide watch.

Don't get me wrong. I know I complain. Mostly about Lindy Ruff. But I don't live in Buffalo so if I don't do it here I have nowhere else to do it, and I'll end up beating my wife or kicking my dog or something. So just consider you reading these posts as some sort of public service. That might make it easier for ya.

Fair enough. Let's call it a day. In fairness, they are making me want to vomit right now too...DD

Nah, just a few of your delicious baked goods should do the trick, there, Betty.

As Einstein said, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Ergo if you are correct about this version of the Sabres, you diligent persistence in following them suggests you need to consider your sanity.

Wow....quoting Einstein and using "ergo"(was this from your word of the day calendar) in the same post? Very impressive.

The Regier rhetoric attached itself to your brain. This sounds a lot like Regier on WGR crying that 7 other top teams didn't get Kovy. Like fans wouldn't know the difference is that those other top teams at least considered it and some made serious offers including the best team in their own division the Ottawa Senators. It is the same old rhetoric and excuses for not getting the job done that fuels the anger in fans. Here is some perspective and a realist view for you. This current management team has a difficult enough time just getting this team into the playoffs. Why would fans have faith they can win a Stanley Cup?

Your rhetorical questions are interesting. Why do you persist in aggravating yourself? You seem to believe the situation is hopeless until there in new management. You may be right. If so, you should follow a team that more closely runs itself as you would, at least then you can validate your theories about how to win--at least until you get your own GM gig.

Because I am a full time fan. Regier, Quinn and Ruff are at best temps.

I am hoping to win the power ball so I can buy the Sabres. My first order of business would be to reattach the phone lines to the GM's office. My second would be to ask Larry Quinn what exactly he does for this organIzation, just to watch him sweat. The third is purchase and display two huge brass balls in front of the arena as a symbol of how this team will play every night and how my front office will attack all aspects of making this team a true Cup contender.

I think "DuPont Circle" would have been a better choice of screen name.

I'm not Zen at all. When you have been a Buffalo fan as long as me, you realize whining does not help, and if you really want to win you need to support other teams--which I am too stubborn to do. Even I can barely remember the 1965 Bills. So you must hope for the best while knowing the worst always happens. You can change management all you want, even Scotty Bowman could not win in Buffalo--but he does live there.

Power ball? Work as hard as you preach to others and you'll succeed at something.

Is that Lindsay Wagner? Do you sell matresses?
